Meet Brandon

Brandon has completed his Master’s in Counselling Psychology and has a special interest in working with teens, young adults, and parents. Having been a teacher for over 11 years in schools across the world, he deeply understands the struggles that both young people and parents — especially fathers — often face.

Much of Brandon’s career was spent teaching woodworking (shop class), though he has also taught at the elementary level. During his time in New Brunswick, he even ran a small one-room schoolhouse as the only teacher, showing his adaptability and dedication. Before becoming a teacher, Brandon worked in a machine shop in Alberta, fabricating and refurbishing heavy-duty mining equipment — a hands-on background that adds depth and practicality to his work.

Brandon brings patience, understanding, and a unique blend of global teaching experience, real-world knowledge, and clinical training to his counselling practice. If you or your child are struggling to find direction, manage stress, or feel understood, Brandon offers a supportive space to help you reconnect, grow, and thrive

Helping young people and families navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and find direction

  • Brandon has a special interest in supporting teens and young adults who are navigating the ups and downs of growing up. Whether it’s struggles with identity, feeling misunderstood, difficulties at school, or uncertainty about the future, Brandon provides a supportive space where young people can express themselves, build resilience, and gain the confidence to move forward.

  • As both a teacher and therapist, Brandon understands the unique challenges parents face — and he has a particular passion for working with dads. He helps fathers who may feel unsure about how to connect with their children, manage discipline, or balance the stress of family and work. Parents often leave sessions feeling more grounded, supported, and equipped with practical tools for navigating family lif

  • With over a decade of teaching experience, Brandon is especially attuned to the struggles children and adolescents face in school. He works with students and families dealing with behavior concerns, attendance issues, or feeling out of place in learning environments that don’t match their needs. Brandon helps young people rebuild confidence and motivation, while supporting parents in advocating for their child’s success.

  • Many young people today are overwhelmed by stress, anger, and pressures from social media and society. Brandon helps clients learn healthy ways to process strong emotions, reduce destructive patterns, and develop coping strategies that work in daily life. His practical, down-to-earth approach resonates especially well with youth and young adults who may struggle to open up in traditional therapy settings

  • Whether it’s tension between parents and children, rifts with family members, or stress within a marriage, Brandon supports families in finding healthier ways to communicate and reconnect. He helps clients untangle the frustration, resentment, and misunderstandings that often build up in relationships, guiding them toward more understanding, empathy, and harmony at home.
