Couples Therapy Intensives

When weekly couples therapy isn’t enough.

Some relationship challenges feel too urgent to address one hour at a time.

When you’re stuck in the same arguments, struggling to reconnect, or facing a relationship crisis, waiting another week between sessions can feel painful and overwhelming.

Our Couples Therapy Intensives offer a focused, immersive approach to relationship healing, giving couples the time and space to go deeper, understand what is happening beneath the conflict, and begin creating meaningful change.

More time. Deeper work. Focused change.

Traditional couples therapy often takes place in 50-minute weekly sessions. While this can be helpful for many couples, it doesn't always provide enough time to work through complex relational patterns.

After all, there are 167 hours between one-hour therapy sessions.

An intensive allows you to spend several focused hours together with your therapist, rather than repeatedly stopping just as the deeper work begins.

Couples Therapy Intensives may be a good fit if:

  • You're experiencing a relationship crisis and need more immediate support.

  • You keep having the same arguments or falling back into the same patterns.

  • You've tried couples therapy before but haven't been able to create lasting change.

  • Weekly therapy doesn't fit your schedule or lifestyle.

  • You feel like 50 minutes isn't enough time to address what's really happening.

  • You're ready to get in, do the work, and move forward.

What Happens During an Intensive?

Our intensives are designed to move beyond simply discussing the latest argument.

Together, we'll slow down the conflict cycle, understand the deeper needs underneath your patterns, explore relational injuries, and develop practical ways to create a different experience of your relationship.

Our approach is grounded in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), with elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO), and the Gottman Method integrated to support the needs of your relationship. Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS) may also be incorporated to work with the deeper trauma, nervous system reactivity, and unconscious patterns that can shape how each partner experiences and responds within the relationship.

  1. Understand the Problem & Establish Your Focus

  2. Explore Relational Trauma & Unmet Needs

  3. Integration, Skills & Maintaining Change
